Welcome to ISCEIE 2019

1. General Overview 1st International Symposium of Civil, Environmental, and Infrastructure Engineering (ISCEIE) 2019 aims to strengthen the collaboration and provide a forum for scientists, academicians, and other professionals from around the world to disseminate and share their ideas, new advances, innovations, research results, and experiences in all aspects of civil engineering to achieve a sustainable and innovative infrastructure development. The symposium will feature paper presentations as well as keynote speech and invitation speech by prominent speakers who will focus on related state-of-the-art sustainability and innovation in civil engineering areas. 2. Themes and Sub-Themes This symposium highlights “Sustainability and Innovation in Infrastructure Development” as the main symposium theme. We are pleased to prospective authors who are interested in submitting papers for oral presentations according to following scopes:

    1. Structural Engineering;
    2. Construction Materials;
    3. Construction and Asset Management;
    4. Geotechnical Engineering;
    5. Transportation Systems and Engineering;
    6. Water Resources Engineering;
    7. Environment Engineering;
    8. Disaster Mitigation and Prevention.
These themes aims to disseminate and share ideas, new advances, innovations, research results, and experiences in all aspects of civil engineering to achieve a sustainable and innovative infrastructure development. 3. Symposium Programs The followings are the lists of agenda in the 1st International Symposium of Civil, Environmental, and Infrastructure Engineering (ISCEIE) 2019. a. Pre-Symposium Seminar Prior to the main agenda, which is the 1st ISCEIE 2019, a mini seminar will be convened in conjunction with the symposium on July 29th, 2019 at Gedung E, Kampus Terpadu Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. The theme of the mini symposium will be on “Disaster Management and Mitigation” and “Post-Disaster Management” with two speakers. The participants will benefit from these symposiums by taking deeper insight the legacy, the state of the arts and practices of disaster mitigation and prevention as well as the challenge of post-disaster management in the future. The mini symposium is open to the symposium participants, invited parties, and limited number of general public. The speakers of this agenda are:
  • Prof. Daizo Tsutsumi Mie University, Japan Topic: Disaster Management and Mitigation Moderator: Prof. Agus Setyo Muntohar (Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta)
  • Prof. Wang, Chung-Yue Center for Bridge Engineering ResearchNational Central University, Taiwan Topic: Post-Disaster Management Moderator: Dr. Ir. Muhammad Mukhlisin, M.T., Politeknik Negeri Surabaya (Polines)
b. Reception and Cultural Dinner Participants will be invited to the welcoming dinner (plus cultural performances) hosted by Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. c.  Keynote Speech Session The Symposium will present the most knowledgeable researchers, as well as practitioners, to explore the Symposium important topics. The Keynote Speakers are as follows:

  • Prof. Wang, Chung-Yue Center for Bridge Engineering Research National Central University, Taiwan.
  • Associate Professor An-Jui Li National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, Taiwan.
